La Vie en Vin is proud to announce that Benvenuto de La Serna’s Mil Piedras Viognier will be available at Manitoba liquor stores in June 2013.
It is a seductive white wine made from 100% Viognier. The grapes are harvested from 12-year-old vineyards (hand harvested in the early morning and double sorted). It has fruity aromas and tastes of honeysuckle, ripe apricots, and sugar-coated orange peels. It’s low acidity gives it a crisp and light texture and a clean finish. It is delicious as an aperitif; and pairs well with seafood and shellfish, pan-fried trout and apricot-stuffed pork.

Color: Deep purple with black hints. Very profound and intense. Aroma: Great complexity in the nose. Red and black cherry flavors; ripe fruits. Tones of vanilla, chocolate and coffee due to the oak aging. Flavor: It’s a full bodied wine. We found a nice French oak on the finish, very complex and yet balanced and with plenty of fruits.
